Harvest time

Diasy and I have had a lot of fun in the sunshine recently. We have been playing on the farm and I LOVE watching the tractors and the combine harvesters working in the fields. Daisy loves her new boots and wears them all the time. It was windy up on the farm at the weekend. Daisy loves holding Daddy's hand! Check out the size of this combine harvester - it is bigger than Daisy and I put together. I climbed up the steps with Daddy and it felt very high!

Hot Air Balloon

We have seen hot air balloons most evenings and mornings for the last three weeks or so in this current heat wave. This morning one jolly nearly landed in the field behind our house - it got within a couple of feet from the ground but then decided against landing and floated off again! The picture above shows the balloon very low over our land lords house taken from our garden. We were very excited because we have a book called 'Surprise Visitors' all about a balloon landing on the farm!

Daisy's 1st Birthday!

Sebastian and I are loving our new home in the bungalow! I was one on 10th June and I feel very grown up! Sebastian loves hunting down the slugs, woodlice, grasshoppers and spiders and the best news is that I am now walking!!! Here are a few recent photos... Daddy put his hammock from Venezuela up in the garden and we all piled in - it was fun! The view from our bungalow is rather lovely! Since Daddy gave him a ride on his big motorbike up to the farm he is infactuated with sitting on it! Mummy was willing me to walk over to her in the garden... I found it really hard to let go of Daddy... When I let go I had to concentrate really hard... ...and when I got to Mummy it was such a relief - I can walk!!! Hooooooray!!!! See you soon... lots of love from Daisy xxx

Bluebells in May

Daisy and I packed the car up and took Mummy and Daddy down to Gran Gran's for the weekend. We have had enough of city life and Mummy needed some clean air and Daddy needed to rest his infected eyes! Sunday was the best day because we went to see the Bluebells in the woods at 'Hollywell House' with the cousins. It was drizzling but this didn't matter. Lola and I led the way whilst Daisy and Jack slept in their Buggy's!! Lola and I kept dry with my favorite umbrella. After the walk we went to feed the chickens and to collect some eggs: ... and then Daisy and Lola sat on a little shetland pony. Lola loved this but Daisy was a little unsure (not quite her mother's daughter yet!!)... It was a lovely day and we all slept well that night. I bet Lola and Jack did too!

Camping

We had another weekend of fun outside. On Friday, after work, Mummy and Daddy packed us up in the car and we went down to camp in Barry's field near Guildford for the night. It was brilliant and Daddy made some tomato pasta (you can see it all round my mouth!) which was YUMMY. Daisy and I loved it and slept well even though it was cold. The water in the pan outside froze in the night. That's how cold it was!! Uncle Ben joined us for a drink and he took this photo of us climbing on Mummy!

We were woken at 4am to the cockerel crowing loudly. Barry had given us some fresh eggs from the chickens and Daddy made lovely scrambled eggs in the morning which we ate with croissants. We can't wait to go again...

Down at the Farm

On 17th April, we drove down to Broomershill Farm near Pullborough in West Sussex. Daddy had packed the tent and the weather was very sunny. Mummy had allowed Daddy to bring his flying machine as we were visiting Seymore who works on the farm. We arrived and Daddy put the tent up first to give some shelter from the sun and fresh breeze. Daisy and I loved playing in the tent together! Our first time. We were sad because it was going to be very cold that night so we ended up staying in Seymore's cottage on the farm, which was a good thing as Daisy was teething quite a lot... We had fun playing on the tractors and farm machinery. The plan is to rent a place not far from here so we can play outside more this Summer! Can't wait! Here are some photos: My sister Daisy is now crawling and can stand up holding onto something - this is exciting because soon we will be able to run around and play together! Daddy took this photo of his friend Dan whilst he was flying. It looks fun up there!

House hunting

On Saturday we all went down to Sussex to look for somewhere to rent as we move out of London in May. It was a lovely day and Mummy and Daddy had the sunroof open and we were all singing along to "Nellie the Elephant". We had a picnic near Storrington and played in the playground. We think we found a good place to rent so, fingers crossed, we can organise it on Monday.

Here are are some photos... I love my new shades!

Happy Easter

We spent Easter with Gran Gran down at Closewood House. In the morning we all went to church in Hambledon. Daisy loved wearing her new blue dress from Gran Gran. I thought she looked very pretty! After a lovely lunch that Gran Gran had prepared, we then went into the garden for a lovely Easter Egg hunt! We found lots of lovely eggs and I helped Daisy with her little basket. The sun shone and we had fun. Happy Easter to you all. Here are some photos that Daddy took...
