Happy Christmas...

I am so excited, and I cannot wait to meet Father Christmas - Daddy tells me I'll be asleep but I am going to try and stay up! We have a lovely tree here in London which I helped decorate... Tomorrow we are setting off down to Hampshire to see Gran Gran.
Today was a lovely day and Uncle Paul came to visit. We went to the playground and I played on the swings and I drove the train! I also had a go on the slide. As I can now walk, I can walk to whatever I want to play on!
Happy Christmas everyone and see you in the New Year!

Brother or Sister coming soon...!!

Well, we have some good news... Mummy tells me I will have a brother or sister very soon! All the tests so far have been good and it is not twins which is a relief... says Mummy (and Daddy!)

I have taken my first 3 steps and am getting good - soon I will be walking - Secretly, I am hoping to be able to walk across my playroom before Christmas but it's hard... watch this space! I'm not even a year old yet!! I am getting really good at climbing the stairs too.

Also, we have a lovely Christmas tree with lights and I love playing with the presents and pulling the branches down - Mummy moved it so it is now on a table out of my reach but I love looking at the twinkley lights...

Happy Christmas to you all and next time I see you... who knows... I hope I shall be walking!!

Lots of love

Uncle Ben and his new camera!

Uncle Ben bought his new camera round last night and took this shot of me. I thought I would post it up to show you how much I have grown! See you soon... X

Old shoes

It's been a while since I last wrote on my blog! I thought I would tell you about my shoes that I have already worn out! Daddy tells me they don't make shoes like they used to! Look... they have completely worn through and I am still just crawling around and standing up! Mummy makes me put my shoes neatly next to Daddy's so she doesn't trip over them. Mummy says I have to learn to be tidy!! It's raining outside, Mummy is sleeping, Daddy has popped out and I am quickly updating before I am caught... See you all soon I hope... Lots of love from Sebastian xxx

Isle of Wight (October)

I am on holiday with Mummy and Daddy on the Isle of Wight. We have been for lots of lovely walks and last night we went up St Catherine's hill to see the sun set on the south of the island. It was quite cold but the views were lovely along the coast...
Here I am standing on the Trig point on top of Limerstone Down the other day. I am all wrapped up in my down suit. I wish I had a pair of down booties though!
Here I am on Mummy's shoulders. You can see in the background the remains of an old monastery on top of St Catherine's Hill. The locals call it the pepper pot!

Mummy and Daddy bought a special back pack on ebay last night that I will be able to fit in - it will be more comfortable and we will be able to go on longer walks as at the moment it gets quite uncomfortable being in the front carrier which we have at the moment.

Look at the sunset - this is the best one I have ever seen - it was just before my bedtime!

Welsh weekend

Mummy and Daddy took me to Wales last weekend. It was the first time I had been there and I loved it. The sun shone and everyone was happy. We had picnics in the hills and we were so high up that we could see for miles. One of the hills we clambered up was called Pandy, near Abergavenny. We went right to the top and stood on the trig point there. That was fun. I hope you like looking at these photos Daddy and Mummy took. I think I am a bit of a handful now as I am wriggling and crawling everywhere. I especially like standing up with the help of a box or a chest of drawers!

Standing up

Look at me Daddy! Quick, take the photo!!...

8 months old today...

Last weekend we went to Gran Gran's at Closewood House. Daddy put up a guard over the coal fire to stop me from touching it. It is a black grate that he screwed to the wall so it is nice and firm! I found that I could reach up and stand up with the help of this useful grate. I heard Daddy then say, "that's it son, there's a good foothold there," and before I knew it I had both feet off the ground and I was climbing! Daddy was impressed - I think Mummy was too!

Oh yes, today I am 8 months old exactly! My two top front teeth are coming through and it is quite painful but I can now leave tooth marks in a carrot! Naughty Daddy hasn't taken any photos for a while so I cannot upload any - the weather has been miserable but I am happy.

I also received my first invitation today from my friend Hector who is three months older than me. He will be one in October. During the week (except Wednesday when Mummy doesn't work) Ioana, my nanny, looks after Hector and I. We have fun but I always look forward to seeing Mummy and Daddy after work in the evenings.

What other news...? Oh yes, yesterday I was sick on Daddy twice! I tried not to laugh... Poor Daddy.

I hope you are all well and see you soon... Bye bye...

Crawling

Hello everybody...

Just a quick update, I wanted to let you know that I am wriggling around everywhere and I can crawl too! I am very excited because I am nearly mobile and if I want to reach for something far away (like 10 feet) then I can...

The other morning, Mummy came to see me in my cot and I was on my knees holding onto the top rail! My next target is to walk but I need to be better at balancing first - it won't be long now!

Hope to see you all soon and if you are passing my house in Gowrie then please come and see me! I love seeing you all...

Bye bye...

Kite flying by the seaside...

Hello again! Wow... what a lovely day. Mummy's idea to go to the seaside was a good one. It was windy so I threw my kite into the car in case I had time to fly it.

We drove to Rye in East Sussex and went to Camber Sands too. It was really windy and the sand was getting in my eyes so we didn't get all the way to touch the sea but Daddy and Mummy helped me fly my kite on the grass which was great fun - the wind was strong so I needed help to hang on! Once we got back home, Uncle Ben came round and fed me which was yummy. I then had a bath with Mummy and afterwards Daddy took me downstairs and lit a fire because it was wet and cold outside. I got too hot in my dressing gown - Daddy sang some songs on his guitar before bottle and bed. Another perfect day.

The Swings!

Mummy and Daddy took me to the swings on Clapham this morning and I loved it! I went quite high and I had to hang on but it was really fun! Look, I am hanging on with one hand!! Then I had a go driving the train in the playground - I liked steering and looking out of the driver's window... I am wearing my new blue dungarees that Tante Za gave me from France. They are so warm and comfy!

It is raining now so we are at home in the dry. More to come soon... x

Last weekend of July

Mummy and Daddy drove me down to Closewood again. It was a really hot weekend but we went to buy a big paddling pool (with coloured spots) on Saturday. Mummy filled it up with water which quickly warmed up in the sun and I splashed around in it to cool off!

Daddy put together my wooden high chair which I now sit in to eat - I climbed into the box (which the high chair came in) and I couldn't help laughing!
Uncle Ben came down late on Saturday night. Daddy had taken his flying machine down and on Sunday he flew over Closewood and I could see him waving at me in the garden where I was having a rest with Mummy in the shade. Daddy then landed, just in time to give me a bath before bed. It was a fun weekend.

I now have two baby teeth coming through at he front on the bottom row! I am dribbling a lot but I like biting on things including my fingers, which soothes my mouth.

I love Mummy's homemade cooking and I am eating spinach, chicken, lots of fruit, potatoes, swede etc... Yummy yum - thank you Mummy.

I am also wriggling around a lot - Daddy calls me wriggle pops! I love my walking machine which plays tunes and I can now 'walk' around the kitchen following Mummy.

I love to chew on the wooden spoon and drinking water out of my 'Tommy Tippee' mug - sometimes the water comes out fast and I am left gasping for air - I am still getting used to it...

I am growing fast and I can't wait to see you soon!

Lake District

By the way, I only look worried here because this is the first time I have sat on a high fence and Daddy was asking me to smile! It has been a while sice I was last able to write something on my blog so sorry to all you avid followers of me! I am growing up fast and I have even started eating proper food. I still don't have any teeth so Mummy mushes everything up but I love brocholi, sweet potatoes, carrots, pears and bananas. I tried some salmon but didn't like it much! I also have a new drinking cup which has two handles and I can nearly drink myself now although I sometimes get mixed up where the spout is. I can now turn over and I like sleeping on my side even though Mummy and Daddy always turn me over as they worry but I am fine really! My eyes are still blue and everyone says I am a very beautiful baby - I think I agree with them! Thank you everybody! We spent two weeks in the Lake District and we got plenty of fresh air. Here are some photographs...
I like sucking on lettuce too - it tastes funny at first but then I get into it once I have slobbered on it. Mummy and Daddy always wrap me up warm and I love going for walks in the 'baby carrier' - I can even fall asleep in it which is good for when I am tired.

Mummy and Daddy pushed me half way up Clough Head in the Lakes and it was a very bumpy ride. It was rocky and steep but my trolley handled it well. Uncle Ben came up for a few days and he did some flying with Daddy.

The other weekend, Mummy and Daddy went for a 7 mile run around Richmond Park pushing me and I think it nearly finished them off - or it nearly finished Daddy off anyway! When we got home, Daddy found a tick burrowing into his tummy and Mummy had to get it out - Daddy was frightened! I couldn't help chuckling to myself. I have discovered how to laugh which makes everyone else laugh too!

Last weekend, we went to the Isle of Wight where my God Mother (Jemima) and William got married. It was a fun weekend and very hot but lovely to be by the sea. More fresh air. I was happy to get home again to my cot and all my teddies.

Hope you are all well and see you soon - I will be 6 months old on 9th July.

My Christening 1-6-08

On Sunday 1st June, I was Christened in Hambledon Church in Hampshire. This was the church where Mummy and Daddy got married. Mummy and Daddy were there and so were all my God Parents. It was a lovely day and I was passed around everyone. I was very tired at the end of the day and slept well last night!

I met my two first cousins for the first time, Andrew and Patrick - they were nice to me.

Lots of people came up to me in the church am told me how smart I looked in my Christening robes! The vicar (Robin Coutts) held me up and told everyone who I was and then poured water on my head - it was like when Daddy washes my fluffy hair. It was fun. Afterwards, everyone clapped and I waved at them all.

My God Parents are really lovely too... Ben, Chris and Jemima. I am a very lucky baby. Thank you to everyone for coming and for being there on my special day.

Bye bye...

Meeting the chickens

This weekend we went down to Dorset to see my other grandparents (Grandma Anne and Grandpa Ross). The best thing about this weekend was that is was so sunny and hot and I saw chickens for the first time. When I looked in their house I saw a chicken sitting on an egg. Daddy collected it and gave it to me! It was all lovely and warm! By the way, the photos are a bit dark because Uncle Ben had forgotten to change the ISO setting on Daddy's smart camera - he was the last to use it. Naughty Uncle Ben!

Bank Holiday

We all had a fun weekend. My best day was Monday when we all went for a picnic down near Seven Oaks. Uncle Ben came too and the sun was very bright. Mummy has bought me some special baby sun screen and I like the smell. Here are some photos of the day...We saw deer and walked across a golf course. It was nice to get out of London!

Mummy bought me this new contraption which hangs from the door. Daddy says it is good practice for flying paragliders! Shhhhh... don't tell Mummy!!

My first holiday

Mummy and Daddy have taken me to the Isle of Wight for a long weekend. We are staying in a lovely thatched cottage with views over the Downs on one side and if Mummy holds me up I can see the river Yar on the other side. The birds tweet all day long and it even smells as if we are on holiday! The silence is almost deafening and the people here on the island are all so friendly. Uncle Ben gave me a sun hat before we left - I love it because sometimes the sun is really shiny and it hurts my eyes. Thank you Uncle Ben! We like it here and I think we will come again...

This morning, Mummy went riding on a big horse called 'Soldier'. She was happy. Daddy and I came to wave her off and Daddy passed me up to Mummy on the horse. Daddy was shouted at by a short girl with a big bum - she said it was dangerous. Oh dear... what is the world coming to? I wanted to ride with Mummy but they told me I was too small.

Yesterday Daddy went off to the Downs while I had a siesta. He took his new paraglider and flew above the lush green hills in the warm south westerly breeze while the sheep went baa baa down below. He had a good time - later that afternoon Mummy went to get her toes painted and I had to sit and be good while all the ladies came to coo at me! It's tough being a bubs.
Tonight I had a lovely warm bath and changed into my pyjamas and then I was naughty as I did a poo. At first it was nice and warm but soon it went cold and I needed a nappy change badly. It took Mummy and Daddy a while to work out what was wrong - they eventually found out and then I was able to settle into a deep sleep while they watched Jane Austen on the tele. (I think Daddy pretended to be interested while he checked the weather forecast for tomorrow) Mummy loves romantic dramas.
Tomorrow is our last day here and we will catch the ferry back on Tuesday morning. We will definately come again - hopefully Uncle Ben and Gran Gran will come. Daddy wants to fly here on his motorized paraglider with Uncle Ben - there is a perfect field here by the cottage where they could land. I can't wait to learn how to fly!

Sunday 6 April 2008

My first time in the snow!

When Mummy drew the curtains this morning it was snowing! I had never seen snow before and it was fun looking out of the window at the large flakes floating down! It was warm inside but I still thought it would be fun to go outside onto Clapham Common! Mummy and Daddy couldn't believe it as they say it should not snow in April!
I look surprised here but that is because I have never seen snow before!!! I put on my down suit that Lorna had lent me and climbed into the buggy. People were making grown-up men and women out of the snow! I could only watch but one day I hope to do the same...

Mummy took this snapshot of my buggy and below you can see me all wrapped up in my suit and blankets. My cheeks went all rosy - Mummy said this was because of the cold!

Later on Sunday afternoon, we all cuddled up and watched a film.

Aunt Clare comes to visit!

It was such fun to meet my Aunt Clare for the first time! She gave me a wooden toy and some trendy clothes to add to my designer wardrobe! She gave Mummy some flowers and choccies to pig out on! Now I'm busy writing more thank you letters!!
