Uncle Ben and visitors

I can't believe I forgot to tell you all about Uncle Ben! I can only just remember meeting Uncle Ben when I was only 10 hours old. I then saw him a few days later. I can only just remember what he looks like. I haven't seen him for quite a few days now so I hope he comes to see me soon because otherwise I won't recognise him! If you are reading this Uncle Ben, please come and see me soon because I miss you...!

Also, I love the feel of Mummy's long hair which I love to hold onto when she puts me to bed. It is all soft and silky! I love the my yellow teddy and my rabbit which sometimes play tunes to me before I go to sleep...

I am growing quickly too and have nearly grown out of my favourite blue Petit Bateau suit!

Here are some photos I found on Daddy's camera of my visitors at the weekend... Maddie, Jessica and Felicity and their Mummy, Ginny...

Meeting the Grandparents!

Last weekend, my grandparents, Anne and Ross made the treacherous journey down from Dorset in their little red car, all the way to Closewood House in Hampshire. I was really happy to meet them - They had bought along some champagne to toast my arrival but I wasn't allowed any... they said I was too little. I noticed that Mummy didn't drink any because last time she did the bubbles made me feel a little ill when I drank from her boob! Grandma Anne held me in her arms and fed me too - not with her breast milk but some that Mummy had expressed earlier! Ross said I was a lovely looking baby which was nice of him. He held my hand and waved at me when they left.

It was fun to be out in the country. Daddy took me for a 2 mile walk in my buggy around Sheepwash Lane - he was very chatty on the way round and pointed out all the land marks. Half way round it started to pour with rain and so he quickly fitted the rain cover which kept me dry and warm. He got very wet but he didn't seem to mind. Mummy stayed at home, she was catching up on sleep - I was naughty and just couldn't sleep the night before - it was easier to cry and to wave my arms and legs around frantically - this helps when I get a sore tummy.

Now I am back in London and looking forward to moving house on 28th January. Life is really rather good; when I get hungry, Mummy is never far and she feeds me; and when my nappy needs changing, Daddy sometimes comes to my rescue so I am pleased with my parents, which is lucky!

I can hear Mummy coming so I must stop typing - until the next time...

Sunday walk in Battersea Park

Mummy and Daddy are very tired as I kept them up last night - I was hungry and my tummy kept rumbling. I asked Daddy earlier for copies of some photos he took on our walk in Battersea Park. Have a look below. I have borrowed Daddy's laptop - they think I am sleeping downstairs but I want to catch up with this blog diary. Anyway, Daddy is very good at changing my nappy and he doesn't mind when I spray him by mistake with pee. I got Mummy today too but she did not mind! I was warm in my new mountain buggy pram outside today - it runs very smoothly and I wore my new blue cashmere hat inside the cockpit which is soft and warm. I love it.

I had a bath tonight and my French Grandmother helped. She suggested I call her 'Bushka' (after the Russian for Grandmother which is Babushka!) I like this name. Mummy feeds me well; she is quite sore and so I always try and be gentle and I always feel sleepy after having eaten - sometimes I even fall asleep on the job - Mummy usually strokes my leg or my cheek so I stay awake! Anyway, I can hear them coming down to check on me - here are the photos - more to come soon...

Mummy and Bushka often looked in on me on my walk. They kept asking Daddy to take photographs and they kept saying, "Isn't Sebastian just the loveliest baby ever!" That was nice of them - I think I might have gone red but I still have a little jaundice so I probably just looked a lighter shade of yellow?

Here I am pretending to be asleep - I set up Daddy's camera with the self timer and pressed the button under the covers with my right hand. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out!

Finally, I wanted to show you these funky socks - they go right up to my knees and keep me really warm. I think they make me look very trendy - a bit like David Beckham?

Day 4!!

Sebastian is now nearly 4 days old! He has had lots of visitors. His Great Uncle and Aunt came to see him today with Sophie (his first cousin once removed). His Uncle Ben came to visit also and he ate some of the muffins! Sebastian has had lots of presents too, flowers, orchids, choccy and lots of clothes! Mummy's boobs are starting to look like Jordan's! Here is another photograph of Sebastian...

Sebastian Peter Clowes!

Sebastian finally arrived at 12.28am on 9th January. Didi did brilliantly and what an emotional roller coaster ride it was! We are thrilled and he is definately the best looking baby we have ever seen! He has large hands and weighs 8.4lbs. Didi was let loose from the hospital today as the birth had gone so well. We are now at home and Baby and Bun are asleep as I type. Before Sebastian went to sleep we gave him his first bath and he loved it. He was a little nervous at first but he then relaxed and discovered that he rather enjoyed it. Breast feeding is so far going all right... fingers crossed...

Beatriz was our midwife who was from Cadiz in Spain. She was incredible and without her, things would have been so much harder for Didi. She made the difference and knew her stuff having done her training in East London.

Here are some photos of little Sebastian - only a few hours old...

5 days late...

We are looking forward to meeting baby. Hoping the arrival will be tonight!! Tuesday 8th January is the absolute latest as induction is booked for then. Feeling nervous but excited. Lots of friends keep asking whether baby has arrived and telephone has not stopped ringing! Hospital bag all packed, baby seat ready and some snacks for labour all prepared. Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom hoping that this would bring on baby! I then moved on to the rest of the house while Tom was at work! Looking forward to wearing normal clothes again as my materity stuff is wearing out fast especially my favourite blue jumper...
